The upgraded dual-motor AWD system now produces 338 combined horsepower, with Toyota estimating 0–100 km/h in approximately 5.1 seconds. That gives this practical electric SUV genuinely quick acceleration without sacrificing the smooth and quiet driving experience expected from an EV.

The XLE AWD receives a larger 77-kWh lithium-ion battery, helping deliver an estimated 468 km of driving range under ideal conditions.

Toyota states that the updated AWD model offers up to a 25% improvement in range, making the 2026 bZ considerably more capable for longer-distance driving.

NACS CHARGING FOR 2026

Another major upgrade is the introduction of a NACS charging port.

Under ideal conditions, Toyota says DC fast charging can take the battery from approximately 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes. Battery preconditioning and an upgraded 11-kW onboard AC charger further improve everyday charging convenience.
